Great road upgrades.
Thanks for the upload….. house prices crazy, my dilapidated wreck of a house I bought in 2001 for 70k, worth roughly 600- 800k…. was offered 600k by a developer 3 years ago (2021)….. I’m disabled and have no super, so was a good investment for me….. love the photos
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂🤣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼rip God bless 😢🙏🙏😅😅😅😅
Very impressive I have to say. However from a historical point of view I wonder what happened to the original cast iron roof canopy and supports over the platforms at the original Port Dock station ,shame they couldn't have been incorporated into the new but historic station.
I think it was demolished when the original station closed and was replaced with the police complex. From the photos I've seen it was in a pretty bad state by the 80s.
thank you ed sheeran
What about the Flinders line extension
That was an extension of an existing line, not a new line 🙂
Good to see you posting videos again!! You look a lot more comfortable with the camera now too, keep up the good work Norman :)
Its this the new section of road out near Aldinga?
Yes it is!
I was down there when they were building SAHMRI and Adelaide Oval. What was then Westpac House was still the tallest building, however I know that's since been surpassed and is going to be surpassed again in the next few years.
good bye to an Ahole
The modecate rock
SNF theme for a big game that your team is playing in pumps you up.
This was filmed BC ! Before Covid 😀
Guy was a total fuckwit Nothing but a common grub of a criminal.
Adelaide is booming, best economy in Australia in 2024, house prices are now on par with Melbourne, good population growth, lots of construction in the CBD with close to ten new thirty plus storey buildings approved for construction, and huge upgrade of naval construction at the Osborne ship yards with frigates, patrol boats and nuclear submarines to built over the next 30 years, that equals massive employment growth, and billions of dollars flowing into south Australia's economy!!
Only broke morons who have 1 house think high priced homes are a goood thing....
They ruined the area around Adelaide Railway Station so badly. Can't see it from anywhere anymore except North Tce.
It actually looks better now.
wow what a nice skyline.
Well they've dropped the speed limit back to 80 just north of Pedlar creek bridge. Looks like way off the side of the road they were landscaping again. Always minor roadworks varying the speed. So it's not really finnished, how much longer will it go on?
Doesn't matter as long as it gets done
Yet it’s still 1973??
Be very careful. Nothing much has changed regarding employment. If you lose your job you struggle to find another!
Didn’t realise this video was about employment, How’s that relevant to this video?
Really awesome documentation!
Looks great Norman, well done 👍
Adelaide is looking great today.
I like Adelaide! Almost as nice as Perth!
@@scott72able Adelaide is better than Perth. Its more alive and just better
This shit used to hit different when you could watch the whole game because you didn’t have school the next day lol
a great vid as always, on a long overdue stretch of road.
Agreed
Thorough analysis and clear presentation. It seems the proposed Truro bypass has faded from the scene…
Yeah, unfortunately it was cut by the federal government after their infrastructure review last year
Few short weeks until the 2024 training camp start!
great vid, nice to see your mug on cam ;-)
It's a slow backward place.
I moved back to Adelaide after a few years in Brisbane certainly has changed. It actually reminds me of Brisbane a bit
I remember clearly arriving in Adelaide when the newer bus were being brought into service. It was such a shame I never got on those older ones.
Not sure how this popped into my memory all these years later
Nice Qatar 777 landing
Thanks Norman, when will they finish the underpass at Aldinga?
Northbound is already open (see the second half of the video), and I expect southbound to follow in February or March, depending on how much leave the contractors are taking.
love ya work Norman!
Excellent comparison, well done Norman 👍
If you cross your eyes you can see both at the same time in some kind of time paradox.
Merry xmas Norman
Thats not a good wave ill show you a mexican wave
They got extra seats out roof open
We're Brisbane residents who visited Adelaide for the first time just last month. I half expected the SA capital to be similar to Brisbane. How wrong I was! Adelaide reminded me of Brisbane in the early '80s. The lack of tall buildings, and in particular the lack of crowds and traffic, along with quite a few buildings that need some serious money spent to spruce up the CBD. Loved the Adelaide Hills and how close the airport is to the CBD. We were only there for 48 hours, so didn't bother with seeing Glenelg Beach. It just seemed like a mini version of what we have on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, but without the nice weather. As much as I'd like to explore country SA, Adelaide is pretty much a "one visit is enough" kind of town. So is Brisbane.
Womp womp
Exactly! I moved back to Adelaide after a few years in Brisbane a couple of years ago. It does remind me a little of Brisbane
Nice weather? You've no idea. Our climate is near on perfect. A few hot days in summer and some cold rainy days in winter. Have your humidity and floods and leave us be xx
without nice weather? It's much nicer and more stable than queensland.
@@nathanielpillar8012 When we visited Adelaide was going for tops of 15°C with a lot of cloud. Then we went to Hahndorf where it was about 9°C and drizzle. Perhaps we were there at the wrong time of year, but you don't get that in SE Queensland. People come to Queensland for the great weather.
Still find it hilarious they tore down the old station to build a new one but not grade separate the crossing at the same time, meaning the whole station had to get rebuilt again 10 years later.
Brings back memories of the original station with the old wood yard siding there.

I was there in 2013 and loved the place. I want to move there

scary when video is speeded up, goes to show how speed can kill.
